Durham Women welcome Sunderland to Maiden Castle on Sunday in their first game of the 2022/23 Barclays Women’s Championship season.
The game will be played in front of a sellout crowd at Maiden Castle, with every ticket for the clash having been snapped-up in record time.
And for midfielder Dee Bradley, playing in front of a bumper crowd is increasing the excitement ahead of Derby Day.
“It’s huge,” she said.
“The support we get is going to keep us going. They’re our twelfth player and they help us big time.
“Keep pushing us, and we’re excited to see you all!”
The game comes at the end of a busy and productive pre-season for Durham – which has seen the side work hard on and off the field.
“I think everyone is beyond ready,” added Bradley.
“We’ve put the work in this pre-season and we’re ready to put it to show for the fans this weekend.”
“No team we play in this league will be easy,” she continued.
“With it being a derby game, it will be that much more difficult for us.
“We just have to stick to our game plan and stick to the simple things.”
