RTC: Coaching Opportunities

We are always looking for passionate and enthusiastic coaches to join our team at Durham RTC.

We are interested in hearing from people who meet our criteria below and would be available to work evenings and weekends, in particular Monday evenings. 

Responsibilities and duties of the role:

  • Lead/support on the player development of respective age band in line with the FA RTC Technical curriculum (U12s to U16s)
  • Lead/support at the Emerging Talent Centre Hubs with Durham WFC (U7s to U12s)
  • Provide high quality coaching and match day experience in line with the FA RTC Technical curriculum 
  • Plan and implement long term player development process through individual player feedback.
  • Deliver player feedback/review through formal player/parent process if required 
  • Acting cover for other Durham WFC coaching sessions when required (within reasonable notice period)
  • Assist with the recruitment of player for the RTC programme through the open trials process.
  • Liaise with the Club Manager to ensure that all logistics of match days/training are in place as required.
  • Communicate with players/parents required under direction of Club Manager. 
  • Keep up to date with best practice in the field and engage with personal development opportunities.
  • Work alongside Technical Director on technical programme and delivery of this to player/parents. 
  • Ensure all round welfare of players within respective age group. 
  • Complete relevant administration for FA and club when necessary
  • Provide relevant feedback and documentation for TD and CM when required. 
  • Meet deadlines set out along the calendar.
  • Manage and respond to all queries related to your role in a professional manner.
  • Always represent the club in a professional manner 
  • Keep all qualifications and requirements up to date in line with NGB and club guidelines.
  • Contribute to the forward planning of the RTC/ Club where necessary.
  • Consider the progression of the club and be forthcoming with constructive ideas.
  • Build strong internal relationships.
  • Carry and advocate a passion for the development and success of Durham RTC and Durham Women’s Football Club as a whole.
