We’re holding trials for aspiring young players to join our Regional Talent Club (RTC) ahead of the 2022/23 season!
Our RTC has gone from strength-to-strength in recent years and we have already received plenty of interest in trials for the upcoming season.
Here’s all the information you need:
We will be holding two trial dates for the Regional Talent Club: an open session for all applicants, followed by a second session which will be by invitation only.
Trials will be held for the following age groups:
Please see below for details of the opportunities available for U10 players.
For the 2022/23 season, our U14 and U16 teams will continue to play in the FA Talent Pathway leagues against fellow RTCs from across the North and train on two nights throughout the week.
Our U12 programme will be a hybrid model where players will dual sign with their current grassroots club and will attend Durham RTC Training sessions and PDCs sessions and represent Durham RTC when selected.
The first session, which is open to all players, will be held on Tuesday 7th June at the following times:
- U12 & U16: 6:00pm – 7:30pm
- U14: 7:30pm – 9:00pm
The second session, which is by invitation only, will be held on Saturday 25th June at the following times:
- U14: 9:00am – 10:30am
- U12 & U16: 11:30am – 1:00pm
Both sessions will be held at Durham University Sport & Wellbeing Park, Maiden Castle, Durham, DH1 3SE.
U10 Player Development Centres
For the 2022/23 season, we will continue to run our highly-successful Player Development Centres across the North East.
Players are able to continue training with their grassroots club alongside attending our Player Development Centre sessions, with an U10 RTC squad then selected from those who attended the centres to take part in weekend fixtures.
The next block of Player Development Centre sessions are set to kick-off in July at four venues:
- Kepier School (Houghton)
- Bede Sixth Form (Stockton)
- New Fordley/Blyth (Northumberland)
- Monkton Stadium (Jarrow)
