NEWS: Big Day Planned As We Look To Hit #1KForDerbyDay At Sunderland Clash!

Durham Women FC are planning a BIG final home game of the season – with a day of exciting activities planned for our clash with Sunderland!

The Black Cats will visit Maiden Castle on Sunday, April 24 (12pm kick-off) in the second River Wear derby of the campaign, in what has been an eagerly-anticipated fixture.

And to mark their final home game of the season, Durham have a big day planned for all supporters – and have set an equally big attendance target!

With tickets already flying out, the club are looking to hit a four-figure crowd and achieve #1KForDerbyDay!

Due to the huge demand seen already, this fixture will be an all-ticket game, meaning tickets must be purchased online in advance. There will be no sales on the day of the game.

Tickets start at just £3 and can be purchased below:

Full ticket information can be found further down the page.

Here’s what we’ve got planned for Derby Day:

Durham County FA will be running a Weetabix Wildcats festival at Maiden Castle!

Taking place ahead of the Noon kick-off, the festival will give aspiring young footballers currently at Weetabix Wildcats centre the chance to continue practicing their skills in a fun environment.

All participants will also receive a certificate on the Maiden Castle pitch at half-time during the big game!

Tickets for the festival and the game can be booked now on our ticketing site – and all those attending must have a ticket.

For more information on the Weetabix Wildcats programme, please email or

Note: This event is open to Weetabix Wildcats centres only, and is being organised by Durham FA.

We’re inviting all our Sister Clubs to attend the final game, and we’ll be thanking them for their support throughout the season after the full-time whistle!

So all Sister Clubs should keep an eye on their emails in the coming days for full details!

Our Regional Talent Club players will also feature prominently in the matchday – as our guard of honour and player mascots!

Parents – keep an eye on Heja for full details!

We’ll also be welcoming all our club partners and 2021/22 first-team player sponsors for our Partners Day!

They’ll enjoy a full day out and will be able to meet the squad post-match!

We’ll also have all our usual match day activities: including our popular merchandise stall; a visit from Fat Frank’s Street Food trucks; and host Andy Sixsmith drumming up the atmosphere pre-match.

Tickets for the game are on sale now – but are selling very quickly!

You must purchase tickets for this game in advance of the fixture via our online ticketing site – as none will be available on the day of the game.

Tickets are available at the following rates:

Please only purchase the ‘Wildcats Festival’ ticket if you are attending the pre-match Weetabix Wildcats Festival run by Durham FA.
