BROWN: ‘Remember Who We Are’

Danielle Brown says Durham Women need to focus on their own game ahead of the Vitality Women’s FA Cup clash with Leeds United.

The Wildcats head to North Yorkshire this weekend looking to progress to the Fourth Round of the competition.

But they will face a stern test against a Leeds side who have lost just two league games all term, and who have netted ten times already on their way to the Third Round.

And for Brown and the rest of the squad, that means they cannot be underestimated.

“It’s a really great competition,” she said of the Vitality Women’s FA Cup.

“I think the Leeds game is a great opportunity for us to bounce back after the last couple of months we’ve had.

“But we don’t think it’s going to be an easy game and we’re not underestimating them.

“We’ve been tested against some good teams, even WSL teams, and we’ve played teams like Manchester United and got a draw against them.

“Going into the Leeds game we need to remember who we are, how we play, and perform to our best.”
