HEPPLE: ‘Excited To See Us Bounce Back’

Beth Hepple says she is excited to see Durham Women bounce back after a challenging sequence of fixtures.

The vice-captain and her teammates have already been hard at work during the international break ahead of their final three fixtures of the year.

And Hepple says the group’s togetherness has again come to the fore.

“We’re all our own biggest critics,” she explained.

“Everyone has been looking at themselves and what we can do better individually and as a team.

“We’ve got such a strong group of players and we stick together always.

“We’re a team and I’m really excited to see us bounce back.”

While recent results have seen Durham lose some ground on the league leaders, Hepple insists plenty could change between now and May.

“The league is far, far from over yet.

“We’re still there, we’re still in it and anything can happy – it’s crazy.

“It’s exciting to be a part of and we have a chance against Blackburn at home to keep ourselves up there and then bounce back after Christmas.

“That’s our goal.”
