JOB: Women’s Football Academy Head Coach

Durham Women FC and Bede Institute of Sport and Education are seeking a part-time Head Coach for their Women’s Football Academy.

The programme sees some of the region’s best female footballers come together and play under the banner of Durham – who play in the FA Women’s Championship, the second tier of women’s football in England – and Bede Sixth Form.

Current and former members of the programme have represented England at youth level and Durham Women FC’s academy team – playing the likes of Manchester United, Manchester City, Everton, Aston Villa and some of the biggest and best teams and young players in the country.

The programme is a key pillar of Durham Women’s player pathway and allows individuals to combine their football with an education at Bede Sixth Form – who are a TASS Dual-Career Accredited centre.

The Role

You would be responsible for coaching, managing and leading on recruitment for the Women’s Football Academy side, currently competing in the NECL Premiership and the AOC Premiership as well as supporting he Durham Women FC Academy Squad in competition time.

Training is held on a Monday morning with an additional scholar group / 1-2-1 session throughout the week alongside fixtures on a Wednesday afternoon. The successful applicant will also be expected to arrange and take part in recruitment sessions at local clubs on an evening.

The role will be located at Bede Sixth Form, Stockton, where you will be able to benefit from a FIFA-accredited artificial pitch and state-of-the-art fitness suite. Travel to away fixtures within the North East will also be required.

Applicants must have a minimum of an FA Level 2 in Coaching.
