BROWN: “I’m Really Enjoying It”

Danielle Brown says she’s enjoying her time at Durham Women FC – and is targeting more game time in the final four games of the campaign.

The winger, who joined the Wildcats from Middlesbrough in late 2020, has been a regular in the side this year and has already chipped in with three key assists.

Her latest outing came at Blackburn Rovers on Sunday, with Brown pleased with how the side responded to a disappointing first half.

“I thought the first half we could have been a lot better,” she admitted.

“But when we came out second half, we were on fire and you could see the desire the girls had.

“We all wanted to win it as much as each other and you could see that in the two goals.

“It’s always nice to get a second goal just to close the game off, but it was a really good performance second half.”

And with four games of the season to go, Brown is looking to continue her run in the side.

“I’m really enjoying it,” she said of her time at Maiden Castle.

“It’s good to get game time, especially at this standard.

“For myself, I’m hoping to keep up the starts, get game time and try to keep getting more assists – and hopefully some goals!

“As a team we’re just going to keep pushing on, keep switched on and keep focused.”
