HILL: ‘We Know We Need To Be Better’

Kathryn Hill says Durham Women were left disappointed with their performance against London Bees – despite claiming the three points.

Goals from Becky Salicki and Molly Sharpe saw the Wildcats come from behind to win 2-1 at The Hive and, while pleased to pick up the win, Hill knows improvements must come before the next league game against Charlton Athletic on November 8.

“Obviously we were top of the league going into the game, and we wanted the three points,” she said.

“We definitely would have wanted a better performance and we’re really disappointed with the performance – but at the end of the day we’ve got three points and that’s the main thing.

“It’s good that we’re disappointed with the way we played and we know we’re better than what we showed today.

“We’re coming away disappointed even though we’ve got three points and we know we need to be better.

“We’ve got a couple of weeks off now and a really tough game coming up, so we’re going to need to make sure we’re better next game.”
