SHARPE: ‘We’re So Glad They’re Still Backing Us’

Molly Sharpe has thanked Durham Women fans for their continued support of the club – as the Wildcats head to London Bees.

While early games have been played behind closed doors, fans have continued to back the club on social media and via live streams – and Sharpe says that support isn’t lost on the players.

“We see a lot of messages from the fans, and we’re so glad they’re still backing us even though they’re not able to come and watch,” she said.

“We really, really appreciate it.”

Durham remain unbeaten in the league this term, but Sharpe says there is still more to come from the side as they prepare for another tricky game at London Bees.

“I think in the past few games we’ve got the result we wanted – but there’s so much more to come.

“Our main thing is to work harder than everyone else, and try and get that motivation to work hard – then results will come.”

“They’re a really tough team,” she continued, on London Bees.

“We struggled against them last year so they’re going to be a really tough game for us.

“We need to have a good week of training and hopefully get the result we need.”

“We see a lot of messages from the fans, and we’re so glad they’re still backing us even though they’re not able to come and watch.

“We really, really appreciate it.”
