Megan Borthwick has hailed Durham Women’s togetherness and team spirit after the Wildcats’ win over Crystal Palace.
The stopper said: “I think in the first half, we definitely weren’t at our best.
“But it’s just proved how collective and how well we’ve gelled together a team, because even when we’re not at our best we’re getting three points.
“We’re not just friends on the pitch, but we’re friends off it and that plays massively into the collectiveness of who we are as a team and the bond we have.”
