Durham Women FC are delighted to announce that Kathryn Hill has extended her stay with the club.
The versatile defender initially joined the club in 2017 and has since gone on to become a key member of the first-team squad.
Since her arrival in the North East, Hill has made 64 appearances for the WIldcats while chipping in with some vital goals – not least a stunning long-range effort to seal victory against London Bees in the 2018/19 season.
And having put pen to paper on an extension, Hill is looking forward to the new campaign with Durham.
“I’m really excited to be at Durham for another season,” she said.
“I’m sure we’ll all be working hard over the next few months to make sure we’re ready for the new season.
“Your support last year was brilliant and we’re all looking forward to seeing you again when it’s safe to do so.”
Manager Lee Sanders added: “It’s great to have Kathy with the squad again for another season.
“I’ve said it a few times already, but she’s another player who makes up that incredible defensive unit that we’ve got and have become renowned for.
“She’s very good technically and always chips in with a few goals every season – she’s also a very good character to have in and around the team.
“She’s been one of the better signings we’ve made at the club since we got accepted into the WSL and she’s another fantastic product of the brilliant scholarship programme we’ve got with Durham University.
“She’s gone on to get a Masters’ Degree and has carved out a great career for herself off the pitch and will keep playing a major part on it moving forward.”
