SIGNING: Salicki Pledges Her Future

Durham Women FC are delighted to announce that Becky Salicki has committed her future to the club.

The versatile defender joined the Wildcats in 2016 and has been a near ever-present ever since, clocking up over 75 appearances in blue and white.

She has also contributed a number of key goals for the club since her arrival and has become a positive driving force behind the scenes.

Popular on and off the field, Salicki has become a key presence at the club and her committal represents a significant boost for Durham ahead of the 2020/21 season.

Speaking after agreeing to extend her stay, Salicki said: “I’m so excited to be signing again for Durham.

“We’ve all been working so hard behind the scenes to make sure that we’re ready for the upcoming season so that we can push on further than we’ve ever done before.”

Manager Lee Sanders was pleased to retain a key member of the squad’s renowned defensive unit.

“Becky has been an integral part of the squad since she joined us in 2016,” he said.

“She’s one of the real leaders of the group and she’s been a regular part of what has consistently been a strong defensive line-up for the club.

“Technically, she’s a very good player and she’s able to start building play from the back – and she always chips in with a few invaluable goals every season.

“We’re just absolutely delighted that she remains with the club and hopefully that will be for a long time to come too.”
