BREAKING: 2019/20 Season Suspended

The Football Association have today confirmed that the 2019/20 season has been suspended until the weekend of April 4/5.

The measure has been taken due to the outbreak of coronavirus, and will mean that Durham Women’s scheduled fixtures with Sheffield United (March 22) and Coventry United (March 29) will be postponed.

Details on any further rearrangements will be posted on our official website and social media channels.

We would urge all supporters to follow the government advice regarding the coronavirus, and we look forward to welcoming our fans back to New Ferens Park later in the year.

The FA, Premier League, EFL and Barclays FA Women’s Super League and FA Women’s Championship have collectively agreed to postpone the professional game in England until 3 April at the earliest.

This action, which will be kept under constant review, has been taken due to the increasing numbers of Clubs taking steps to isolate their players and staff because of the COVID-19 virus.
