Durham Women will face Aston Villa on Sunday, May 10 (kick-off 2pm).
The fixture was postponed due to Storm Ciara, but will now be played on May 10 after the FA decided to extend the FA Women’s Championship season.
An FA statement read:
“Following recent consultation with Women’s Championship clubs and the FA WSL and WC Board, the FA Women’s Championship season will be extended to Sunday 10 May 2020.
“In light of the unprecedented amount of rainfall over recent weeks creating a need to rearrange a number of league fixtures, consideration for semi-professional players has been at the heart of this decision and will mean more league football matches can be played on weekend dates.
“To schedule fixtures for 10 May in the fairest way while protecting competition integrity, the set of postponed fixtures due to Storm Ciara from Sunday 9 February 2020 will be moved as a block to Sunday 10 May and will all kick-off at 2pm.”
We are still awaiting confirmation of our re-arranged trip to London Bees.
