Durham Women FC can offer the following update on our FA Women’s Championship fixture with Aston Villa:
“After speaking with the match day referee and having engaged in consultation with the stadium management and the FA, we have been advised that no decision will be made on the game with Aston Villa until tomorrow [Sunday, February 9].
“The decision to postpone a game lies with the match official, not the club, and we remain in regular dialogue with them and the stadium management ahead of the game.
“We would advise all spectators to take advice from government weather warning and local/national travel services when making their decisions as to whether to attend the game or not.
“If there are any further changes we will post immediately on our social media accounts.”
The following update has been issued on our pre-match Skills Session:
“In light of the forecast weather and taking into account the age of the players taking part in the Skills Session, we will be cancelling tomorrow’s session.
“Please email email@example.com to arrange a refund, if necessary.”
