Christmas isn’t an easy time for everyone.
That’s why we’re supporting Sunderland & County Durham Foodbank this festive season.
At our upcoming home game against Lewes on Sunday, December 8, we’ll be holding a collection of essential items ahead of the winter months.
Our first-team players and staff will all be donating – and we’re encouraging supporters to do the same.

We’ll have a drop-off point located near the turnstile at New Ferens Park for supporters to drop-off items to help the less fortunate this Christmas.
The club will then do the rest, and ensure the donations reach those in need.
Recommended items to donate include:
- Fruit juice (long life)
- Tinned tomatoes
- Tinned fish
- Instant mash
- Milk (UHT)
- Small jars of coffee
- Tinned fruit
- Instant custard
- Rice pudding
- Jam
- Toilet rolls
- Toiletries
- Tins of beans
- Spaghetti and pasta
- Pasta sauces
- Flavoured rice
- Biscuits
And to help make Christmas extra special, Sunderland & County Durham Foodbank are requesting donations of the following items:
- Tinned ham
- Christmas pudding
- Christmas cake/yule log
- Box of biscuits
- Children’s selection box
- Box of chocolates
- Large bar of chocolate
- Christmas crackers
It is kindly requested that no fresh items are donated.
We hope our supporters embrace this chance to help those less fortunate – as we aim to ensure nobody goes without the essentials this Christmas.
