Holly Manders admits she is loving life at Durham Women – having netted her first goal for the club in the win over Coventry United.
The England youth international netted the fourth goal in the comprehensive home win, and was delighted to take her chance in the Group A time.
Here’s what she had to say after the game:
Manders on the victory over Coventry…
“It wasn’t obviously wasn’t the best performance – but 4-0, a clean sheet – and a great save from Meg to keep the clean sheet.
“I’m glad to have started today and scored. I’m buzzing.
“Meg has played that ball pin perfect and I’ve just tapped it home at the back post.”
Manders on her recent England exploits…
“Belarus is not a place I would expect to go – but I can say I’ve been!
“We played three and won three to get through to the next stage.”
Manders on her time at Durham so far…
“I absolutely love it here, to be honest.
“The jump up – I haven’t found it hard. It’s better training and things like that, and I was glad to take my chance.”
