HILL: ‘Every Game Is Different’

Kathryn Hill insists that Durham Women can’t look back on their win over Aston Villa earlier this season – as the two teams prepare to lock horns in the league.

The Wildcats beat Villa in the Continental Cup but Hill, speaking after the win over Blackburn, believes that result is now irrelevant.

Here’s what she had to say ahead of the clash:

Hill on the win over Blackburn…

“Obviously first and foremost the win is the most important thing.

“It’s always nice to get on the scoresheet and that’ll be me for the season now – one a season!

“It’s always disappointing when you don’t keep a clean sheet, because that’s our aim going into every game.

“But I thought we reacted well and we were the better team.

“We definitely deserved the win and it was just about keeping going, knocking on that door and in the end we got the win.”

Hill on sitting atop the Continental Cup group…

“It’s nice.

“We want to focus on the league but we’re competitive people. Every game we go into we want to win.”

Hill on Aston Villa…

“They’re obviously flying at the moment and have won all their games in the league.

“We know that we need to recover well ahead of a big week.

“I think they made a few changes for our last game with them – and every game is different.”
