Lisa Robertson insists that Durham Women will continue to take one game at a time after their unbeaten start to the season – while thanking the home supporters.
The midfielder – who netted her second of the season in the win over Crystal Palace – reflected on the game.
Here’s what she said…
Robertson on her goal:
“It’s always nice to score, so I’m quite happy with that.
“It was a fantastic ball from Meg [Bell] and I knew if I just got there and nipped in front of the goal then I’d be through.
“The goal opened up and I just picked it out and put it top corner.”
Robertson on the win over Palace:
“I think it was a very hard-fought game.
“Obviously going 1-0 behind wasn’t ideal, but we dug in during the second half and came from behind.
“We deserved the three points in the end.
“It maybe wasn’t the prettiest performance, but it was what we deserved.”
Robertson on the late drama:
“I absolutely loved it!
“I’m buzzing for Mac to score as well, she deserves it.
“Luckily for us it ends up in the back of the net.”
Robertson on two wins from two:
“It’s early days and we take one game at a time.
“That’s what we’ve done and now we’ve got six points going into the break.
“That’s really all you can ask for.”
Robertson on the fans:
“It sounded more than 500.
“We’re thankful for them week in, week out – cheering us on and supporting us until the end.
“I hope they enjoyed that goal as much as the players did on the pitch.”
