Sarah Robson was quick to praise the home supporters after Durham Women registered a dramatic win over Crystal Palace.
A 512-strong crowd – the highest of the day in the FA Women’s Championship – watched on as Robson netted deep into injury time to secure the three points.
And she was quick to praise their impact after the Wildcats had to come from behind against the Eagles.
Here’s what the midfielder had to say after the game:
Robson on the win…
“We were delighted to get the goal at the end.
“I think we dominated the second half and it just wouldn’t fall for us.
“It looked like it was just going to be another one of those days, another draw, but we got there in the end and we’re happy with three points.
“Fair play to Palace as they’re a much better team than they were last year.
“But I always knew we were going to win the game – we had that character and we have the players now to pull it back.”
Robson on her late goal…
“I didn’t even think I’d kicked it properly!
“I was just buzzing, I had everybody jumping on me and I thought the whole crowd was on top of me.
“The supporters were unbelievable. When I scored it felt like they were actually on top of me, it was so good.”
Robson on coming from behind…
“The work rate of the new players, and everybody having that never die attitude paid off.
“It showed in the end and we knew we were going to get the win.”
Robson on her upcoming Northern Ireland international duty…
“I’m definitely looking forward to it.
“We’ve got a new coach, a different set-up and I’m looking forward to seeing any changes he might make.
“We’ve got some very good games too, so hopefully we can get good results.”
