Durham Women FC are delighted to announce the return of winger Jordan Atkinson.
The popular forward, who initially joined the club in 2014, returns after a season away from New Ferens Park.
And Atkinson has now agreed a dual-registration deal, which will see her return and represent the Wildcats in the FA Women’s Championship.
Speaking after her return, Atkinson said: “It’s really good to be back.
“It’s great to be back with all the girls – they’re all my mates and it’s a great group.
“I’m really happy to be in this set-up – it’s a great set-up and I can’t wait for the new season.”
Manager Lee Sanders added: “We’re over the moon that Jordan has come back to the club.
“When she left us, we parted on really good terms and she was always a really popular member of the squad.
“I’m sure she’ll do everything she can to get herself back where she thinks she needs to be.
“I’m just really happy to have her back at the club.”
Atkinson will be available for Durham’s trip to Leicester City this weekend, if selected.
She will wear the number 20 shirt this season.
