NESS: ‘We’ve Put Durham On The Map’

Zoe Ness believes the 2018/19 has seen Durham Women firmly put themselves on the map.

And the striker, speaking after the final day defeat to Tottenham Hotspur, believes the Wildcats’ league position doesn’t properly reflect another positive season.

“It’s bitter-sweet, obviously finishing fourth,” she said.

“Sitting in that number doesn’t really reflect the season we’ve had as overall, we’ve had a really positive season.

“The league was maybe a bit disappointing, but we’ve done well in some of the cups.

“As a whole, how we’ve grown as a club is massive and that’s one of the best things to come out of this season – seeing fans and young players coming along.

“We’ve definitely put Durham on the map now.”
