VACANCIES: Graphic Design & Media

Ahead of the 2019/20 FA Women’s Championship season, Durham Women are looking to strengthen their media team.

The Wildcats are one of the leading names in women’s football in the UK and are looking to grow even further next season.

We’re looking for creative and innovative individuals to join our media team in the following two roles:

CLUB GRAPHIC DEVELOPER

We are seeking an individual to take the club’s graphics output to the next level.

Key Duties:

  • Creating graphics for use on the club’s website and social media channels.
  • These will include goal graphics, team release graphics and graphics to aid recruitment/promote club events.
  • Any other duties that may be required.

Required Skills and Personal Traits:

  • Proficient in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Creative and innovative.
  • Strong communication and ability to work as a team.
  • Trustworthy and reliable.

This role will be for approximately two hours per week.

The Club Graphic Developer will report to the club’s General Manager and will work as part of the club’s Media and Marketing team, led by our Media and Marketing Officer.

MEDIA ASSISTANT

We are seeking a media assistant to provide written and video content on our club’s senior teams.

Key Duties:

  • Producing written and video content for the club’s official website and match day programme – this could range from match reports and match previews to league round-ups and quirky feature. 
  • Cover all home games, with the scope to cover some away fixtures if required. 
  • Conduct interviews with players and staff prior to games and following matches. 
  • Help keep the club’s official website and social media channels updated with informative and engaging content. 
  • Suggest new content ideas to keep Durham Women FC at the forefront of innovation in the women’s game

Required Skills and Personal Traits:

  • Strong written skills with ability to follow a house style.
  • Creative and innovative.
  • Strong communication and ability to work as a team.
  • Trustworthy and reliable.

This role will be for approximately six hours per week.

The Media Assistant will report to the club’s General Manager and will work as part of the club’s Media and Marketing team, led by our Media & Marketing Officer.
