Durham Women travel to Leicester City in their final away trip of the 2018/19 season – looking to keep their promotion push alive.
Only a victory will do for the Wildcats as they look to keep the pressure on second-placed Tottenham Hotspur.
But a trip to Leicester – only of only two sides to inflict a league defeat on Durham – will prove another stern test.
Here’s everything you need to know ahead of the fixture:
Having been a strong force in the FA Women’s Premier League for several years, the Foxes were rewarded for their on and off field progression with a place in the new-look FA Women’s Championship.
And Jonathan Morgan’s side have built on their already strong squad – containing the likes of Rosie Axten, Leigh Dugmore and Sophie Domingo – by adding some real experience.
Players such as Demi Lambourne, Melissa Johnson and Freda Ayisi have excelled thus far as Leicester have enjoyed a good start to life in the second tier.
WE’VE MET BEFORE
We met Leicester City in last season’s FA Cup – in what turned out to be a thrilling encounter.
Goals from Zoe Ness, Ellie Christon and Emily Roberts added to an Abi Cottam brace – which included her Goal of the Season winner – as Durham ran out 5-2 winners.
The Foxes won 2-0 at New Ferens Park earlier this season.
Speaking ahead of the game, Emily Roberts said: “We need every point that we can get and we need to make sure we keep the pressure not just on Spurs but also Charlton as well.
“We’ll go there knowing that we can get a positive result. Obviously the result today keeps us in the hunt and we need to produce a similar performance again next weekend against a very tough opponent.
“There is a feeling of pressure and I think it always is regardless of if it’s now or earlier in the season. We know that it isn’t in our hands at the minute.
“We need to keep the momentum going and then we may still have something riding on the game with Spurs on the final day of the season. If that is the case then there it would be a fantastic occasion not just for Durham Women but also for women’s football as a whole. I’m sure it will be a fantastic game regardless.”
The match will be played at Farley Way Stadium, Quorn, Loughborough, LE12 8RB.
Kick-off is at 2pm on Sunday, April 28.
