Sarah Wilson believes that Durham Women have set the standard ahead of their trip to Lewes.
After a fine performance against a strong Chelsea side a fortnight ago, the Wildcats will return to action against the Rookettes this weekend.
And Wilson has urged her side to continue pushing for promotion – with everything still to play for.
“There is no reason why we can’t raise our game again [at Lewes],” said the skipper, speaking to Sportsbeat.
“We’ve set our bar high week-in, week-it and it’s important we take that attitude into our next game and until the end of the season.
“We’ve got to keep pushing, we are still in the running.
“We’ve put ourselves in a great position and while we have to rely on other results but we’ll keep focusing on our own game-plan and making suee that we keep doing the right things.”
When Durham played Lewes back in November, the Wildcats won 5-0, with all the goals in the first half.
“It was some game, there were no goals in the second half, but sometimes that happens.
“It will be completely different next time, teams are progressing week-in, week-out.
“We won’t be complacent [because we won 5-0 at home], we’re not that type of team.
“We can’t to get back to training on Tuesday and get back on the field.
“To be honest, I’d like to be playing again tomorrow! We want to keep this momentum going, keep pushing because we have shown today exactly what we can do.”
