Zoe Ness wants Durham Women to take lessons from last season’s FA Cup campaign ahead of the trip to Bristol City.
Ness – who netted a brace in the 5-1 win over Cardiff City in the fourth round – believes the Wildcats can build on a quarter-final defeat to Everton in last season’s competition.
Durham will travel to face the Vixens this Sunday (17 February, kick-off TBC) and Ness has backed the side to impress against higher-level opposition.
“Last year we did well [in the FA Cup] until we came up against a Super League 1 team in Everton,” she said.
“Learning from that last year, we can go on.
“Bristol will be a tough game but I think from last year we have that experience and know what we need to do.
“We need to go and work hard, compete and match them.”
