Emily Roberts is keen to see the Wildcats carry the momentum from the win over Crystal Palace into their next league outing.
Durham’s FA Women’s Championship campaign continues at the Hive this weekend, with London Bees the opposition.
And Roberts is hopeful that the momentum will continue – as she prepares to reunite with two former teammates.
Here are the forward’s thoughts in full…
Roberts on ending the run of draws…
“It’s been three draws in a row, so it’s definitely good to get the three points finally.
“I think it was about time.
“We struggled last week, but it was nice to build on that and get the win.”
Roberts on a goalless first-half…
“I think we could’ve been about 5-0 up at half-time!
“We all said at half-time that the build-up play was good, so it was just the end product we needed to work on.
“That was much better in the second half though.”
Roberts on whether the win was vital to keep pace…
“We were disappointed last week to drop points when we should have really got more out of it.
“It was good to come here today, do something and get some points.”
Roberts on strength at the back…
“Hats off to the defence, they’re absolutely amazing.
“It’s another clean sheet and they’re doing really well.”
Roberts on London Bees…
“I’m looking forward to it actually, as Annabel and Gib who were here last season are down there now.
“It’s going to be hard again as we’re travelling again.
“It’ll always be difficult. It’s a big pitch but we have the momentum from today that we can take forward.”
