A late equaliser saw Durham Women pegged back as they were forced to share the spoils on home soil.
Amelia Ritchie’s late header sealed a point for visiting Charlton, who had trailed after Beth Hepple’s sweetly-struck strike.
But in a three-minute blitz, Kit Graham equalised for the Addicks before Emily Roberts restored Durham’s lead – only for Ritchie to level at the death.
Lee Sanders made two changes from the side that drew with Liverpool as Hannah Reid and Ellie Christon were handed starts.
And the Wildcats started brightly with a string of corners putting the visitors under pressure.
Charlton, though, arguably should have taken the lead when Gemma Bryan pounced on a loose ball and squared for Graham who fired narrowly wide.
But it was to be Durham who did take the lead midway through the first half as Hepple rifled home from the edge of the area after being teed up by Abby Holmes.
The lead lasted barely a minute, however, as Graham outmuscled her marker before slotting past Reid to restore parity.
Yet straight from the restart, Durham were back in front as Rachel Lee threaded in Roberts who kept her cool to convert from ten yards.
After that manic three-minute spell, the game calmed down – although Charlton stopper Katie Startup was called into action to acrobatically deny Hepple.
The second half was a far more cagey affair, with chances at a premium.
Holmes had the Wildcats’ best effort, as she tried to turn a Kathryn Hill cross towards goal but fired straight at Startup.
Charlton turned up the pressure in the final 20 minutes, however, and Reid had to twice deny substitute Lily Agg in spectacular fashion as the visitors chased a leveller.
It eventually came with just five minutes remaining, as Ritchie looped her header into the top corner from a teasing corner.
And Durham had Reid to thank late on as she pulled off another terrific save – this time from Gurr – to secure a point.
