Here’s a bit more about the charities joining us on Sunday…

The Fostering Company are an independent fostering agency, established in 2013 with a vision to put children at the heart of everything we do. We are proud to be part of the Five Rivers Childcare Group, a Social Enterprise committed to transforming the lives of children and young people.

We are looking for foster families to provide safe, stable, and loving homes for children who are unable to be cared for by their family. We offer a competitive level of pay, training and 24/7 support.

Camilla has been the registered manager since 2013. Her lived experience underpins the vision of building a quality community of fostering families. Our team all live locally and work in partnership with local authorities and an incredible team of foster carers across the North East.

The Fostering Company support our carers to promote a positive family life and help children and young people to achieve their potential. 100% of our children and young people are in education or higher education.

Listening to children’s views is very important to us. We recently asked an 8-year-old, what made their life good? “When they (their carers) care and help me with some of my worries which have gone away. ’ Could you help a child’s worries to go away?

If you’re looking for a rewarding vocation with life-changing potential, fostering could be for you – please get in touch (0191 268 6888). To be considered as a foster carer you must be over the age of 21, have a spare bedroom, and be a UK resident.

The Chloe & Liam Together Forever Trust was set up in 2017 by their parents as an ever lasting legacy for Chloe Rutherford and Liam Curry who were boyfriend and girlfriend. They were both killed in the Manchester Arena atrocity at the Ariana Grande concert.

The charity supports young people to follow their dreams in sports or performance as this was something both Chloe & Liam loved to do. Chloe was studying Music at Newcastle College as she used to dance, act, sing and play piano. Liam was studying Sport at Northumbria University, he was a very talented cricketer and loved all sports.

The Charity has an online application process for anyone requiring support.

The Trust has a board of ten trustees who sit three times a year to review the applications.

The Charity have supported over 500 applications with bursaries to date in many different sports and performance. We ask our successful applicants to keep us updated of their progress and achievements which we share on our social media pages.

We hope in the future, the awareness of our charity has grown and we are able to support even more people going forward.

We have many annual events throughout the year to raise funds including, A dance show, Golf day, Football match, Charity Ball, Cricket Day, Sunderland City Runs, Great North Run and a variety show.

All details of our events can be found on our website www.togetherforevertrust.com
