The all-action defender returned to Maiden Castle in the summer of 2023 after a year with Sunderland and adds some experience to the Wildcats’ squad ahead of the new campaign.

Holmes initially joined the Wildcats in 2018 after spending time in the Netherlands with PEC Zwolle, and went on to spend four years with the club – quickly impressing with her committed and passionate displays.

She netted six times in 78 appearances for the club – including a memorable brace against Blackburn Rovers in 2021 – and was part of the side that memorably faced-off against Manchester United and Chelsea in the 2018/19 campaign.
