Durham Women FC are looking forward to welcoming supporters back to Maiden Castle for our 2026/27 Barclays Women’s Super League 2 fixtures.
And we are also excited to announce that our League Cup games in the 2026/27 season will be played at Mariners Park, South Shields FC.
Durham will also play a pre-season friendly against Celtic at South Shields on Sunday 9th August (2pm kick-off) – which will be open to spectators. This will allow fans the chance to experience the facilities and offering at the ground ahead of our League Cup fixtures.
The move comes amid an increase in stadium regulations for elite women’s football and a desire for more games to be played on grass surfaces.
South Shields FC has made significant investment in its facilities in recent years, and the club’s commitment to developing the supporter experience made Mariners Park a natural choice to host this season’s cup fixtures.
The partnership also provides an opportunity for Durham Women FC to continue exploring how the club can deliver the best possible matchday experience for supporters, players and partners as the women’s game continues to grow.
Further information regarding ticketing and matchday arrangements for the League Cup fixtures will be announced following the release of the competition schedule.
