It was an unlucky afternoon for Durham as they suffered a 2-1 defeat against Ipswich Town.

After applying early pressure, the home side took the lead in the 7th minute through Princess Ademiluyi, who slotted the ball home from close range.

Lucy Ashworth-Clifford made it two in 33rd minute, sweeping the ball just past Cat Sheppard.

Lucy Watson’s free kick found the back of the net on the stroke of half time, but the flag was raised for offside.

Durham started the second half the stronger team, with a handful of chances and some brilliant defensive efforts.

Substitute Tyler Toland made an unstoppable strike in the 72nd minute from 30 yards out to push Durham back into the game, but The Blues were unfortunately left defeated.
