Durham Women are delighted to confirm the deadline day signing of Republic of Ireland international Lily Agg.
The midfielder joins the Blues on loan from Birmingham City for the remainder of the 2025/26 Barclays Women’s Super League 2 season.
Agg came through the ranks at both Arsenal and Brighton & Hove Albion – going on to step into the first team with the Seagulls prior to their promotion to the Barclays Women’s Super League structure.
After leaving the south coast side, the midfielder enjoyed spells with London Bees, Millwall, Cardiff Met, Bristol City, Frankfurt and Charlton Athletic before joining London City Lionesses in 2019.
She quickly became a key player for the Lionesses as they regularly competed at the top end of the second tier table.
Her fine form in London saw Agg earn a move to Birmingham City in 2023 – and she has gone on to score seven times in just 29 games in the Midlands.
On the international stage, the Republic of Ireland came calling in 2022 and Agg has gone score three times for the senior national team – while also featuring at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
And now the vastly-experienced midfielder joins Durham on loan for the remainder of the campaign.
Welcome to Durham, Lily!
Agg will not be eligible to face her parent club in this Sunday’s fixture.
