Durham Women FC can today confirm that seven players will depart the club following the conclusion of the 2024/25 season.
The following players will be leaving the club when their contracts expire on June 30:
- Olivia Bramley moves on after joining the club in January 2024 after spending time in Australia. She made seven appearances for the club, and ended the 2024/25 season on loan at Portsmouth.
- Carly Johns will also depart Maiden Castle this summer. She made the move north from Watford in the summer of 2024 and featured 23 times this season, scoring three goals in the process.
- Following 96 appearances for Durham, Dee Bradley will be departing the Blues this summer. Since joining the club in early 2021, the midfielder has made an incredible impact on and off the field – scoring a number of crucial goals, including a header in our 2-2 draw with Manchester United in 2021. A popular figure on and off the field, Dee has been a major part of our recent successes and player a key role in several of our most memorable triumphs.
- After arriving at Durham last year, Kaila Novak will head back to the USA this summer as she pursues ambitions outside of football. The winger made 24 appearances last term, scoring three times.
- Eleanor Ryan-Doyle has spent the last two seasons at Maiden Castle but will move on this summer. The striker has netted nine times in 41 games, including a goal in each of our Subway Women’s League Cup group stage games this season to help tee-up a memorable quarter final clash away at Chelsea.
- Goalkeeper Rylee Foster joined Durham in January after a spell with Women’s Super League side Everton and made 10 appearances in the second half of the season, keeping three clean sheets.
- Abby Holmes will also depart the club this summer. Across two spells at Maiden Castle, the defender has made 102 appearances for Durham, scoring six goals and playing her part in a number of memorable victories. The full-back has been a key cog in many of our most successful seasons and was a key character both on and off the pitch.
We thank all the players departing for their contributions while at Maiden Castle and wish them well for the future. They will always be part of our story.
Durham Women remain in discussions with Sarah Robson over her future after she recently gave birth to her second child, with the player still on maternity leave. She will continue to be supported by the club through this period and beyond.
The club also remain in negotiations with Lily Crosthwaite having offered the player a new contract.
Further squad updates, including details of new signings and contract extensions, will be communicated in due course.
