Durham Women return to Maiden Castle on Sunday, September 29 (12pm kick-off) against Birmingham City – and we’ve got a big day planned!
The Blues have started the season with back-to-back wins, beating Sheffield United 1-0 on home soil before coming back from the long trip to Portsmouth with three points in the bag courtesy of a 3-0 triumph.
But the big games keep on coming, with Birmingham City – one of the early season promotion favourites, who are also unbeaten so far – next to visit the North East.
It’s sure to be another exciting fixture, and Durham Women have a number of activities planned as we look to continue our strong start to the new campaign.
Here’s what we’ve got planned for the fixture with Birmingham City:
- Player meet and greets – you’ll be able to meet our players, including summer signings, at the end of the game for autographs and selfies!

- Half-time activities – we’ll make our young fans the stars of the show at half-time with an activity on the pitch! It’s sure to be a moment they’ll never forget as they head on to the same turf used by our first-team stars!
- Food & Drink from Fat Frank’s Street Food – with a wide range of selection, plus we’ll also have Cafe Nero open serving a range of hot and cold food and drink throughout the afternoon
- Plus the unmissable action on the field – there were seven goals in this fixture last year, and another exciting contest is in store!
Our first attendance of the season saw over 880 people back us against Sheffield United – so can we beat that number this time around?
