As debuts go, a goal and three points wasn’t a bad one for Carly Johns as she kicked-off her Durham Women career.

Johns on her Durham debut…
“I’m really happy with the three points.
“I think we dominated most of the game and I’m happy with the goal.
“We’ve worked hard in training so I’m glad we got the result we wanted.”
Johns on hard working paying off...
“I think it was bound to come after the last few weeks.
“We’re gelling as a team, and we only go up from here.”
Johns on her goal…
“I just peeled off her near the edge of the box, turned and shot.
“It took a deflection, but it went in!”
Johns on the Blue Army…
“I thought the fans were excellent today.
“You could really hear them with the chants, we heard them all throughout.
“We appreciate them so much. The weather wasn’t great, so thank you so much for coming!”
