Durham Women FC can confirm their first-team staffing structure ahead of the 2024/25 Barclays Women’s Championship season.

Having worked with the club on an interim basis towards the end of the last campaign, Adam Furness has taken on the role of First Team Head Coach ahead of the new season. A vastly-experienced coach, Adam has experience of working with the elite female talent pathway in England and has undertaken a variety of managerial and player development-focused roles across his career.

George Anthony joined the club in April as First Team Assistant Coach. He made the move to the North East following a successful stint at Oxford United in the FA Women’s National League, where he worked with both the First Team and Development Team.

Stephen Brass is entering his fourth season with the club as our Head of Goalkeeping, working with our first-team stoppers as well as overseeing the development of goalkeepers across the club pathway.

The medical team will continue to be led by Lead Physiotherapist Nat Gutteridge and Club Doctor Dougal Southward. Simon Fairbairn is our Performance Lead with Kara Elderkin working as Strength & Conditioning Coach, while Victoria Duke has joined the club as Nutritionist.
