Georgia Robert is relishing the chance to face another top tier side as Durham Women head to Manchester United this weekend.
The Wildcats take on the Red Devils in the last sixteen of the Vitality Women’s FA Cup – having already beaten their opponents on penalties in the Continental Cup earlier this term.
And Robert is excited at the prospect of battling another top flight side at Leigh Sports Village this Sunday (12pm kick-off).
Here’s what the defender had to say ahead of the clash:
Robert on training during the international break…
“It’s been good.
“It’s always nice to have a bit of a break and take a bit of pressure off.
“But now we’re raring to go and ready to get back into it.”
Robert on the trip to Manchester United…
“Everyone loves the cup and everyone loves a cup upset.
“With the Continental Cup we’ve played a few WSL teams already, so we know it’ll be a challenge.
“It’ll be a different game but one we’re looking forward to.
“You always want to go as far as you can in the cup, so to reach the last sixteen is great.”
Robert on the huge numbers of travelling fans heading to Manchester…
“We get a lot of fans to our away games anyway, but this is a big one and it’s incredible everyone wants to be there.
“Our crowd is a big advantage when we play at home, so knowing we’ll have a lot of them there is fantastic.”
