Dee Bradley wants to see Durham Women continue their improvement when they welcome Charlton Athletic this weekend.

While results haven’t gone the way of the Wildcats at times this season, the midfielder is looking at the bigger picture – and believes the improvements in the club’s style of play are clear to see.

“If you watch our games from the beginning of the season up to now, we’ve progressed every week,” she said.

“We’re hoping to keep doing that every week moving forward and hopefully the results will come with that.

“We have a whole squad – anyone that comes off the bench is an important player for us. We need to stick together because everyone plays a key part.”

Next up for Durham is a visit from Charlton Athletic – who have already secured some eye-catching results this term.

And Bradley knows that they will be a stern assignment.

“They’re going to be tough,” said the midfielder.

“They’re physical, technical and any time we play is going to be like that. But we just need to stick to our game plan.”

Key to any result on Sunday could be the backing of the home crowd at Maiden Castle, with some bumper crowds already having come through the gates this term.

And Bradley believes the Durham support could be crucial.

“They push us every week,” she added.

“From the Manchester United game to the Palace game, they’ve pushed us. We hear them the whole time and they’ve been fantastic.”
