Durham Women are delighted to confirm that Liz Ejupi has signed a new contract at Maiden Castle.

The Kosovo international joined the club last summer and made 17 appearances – netting three goals in the process.

Her first goal for the club proved crucial in a win at Bristol City, with further goals against Blackburn Rovers at home and away securing vital victories.

And now the striker is looking to push on during the 2022/23 campaign.

“I’m very happy to be staying,” she said.

“I really enjoy it up here and I think the girls are great. Going full-time, I think that’s going to be good for us.

“If you have an opportunity to go full-time, you want to take it – so it’s great we can do that and play football every day.”

Ejupi is also looking forward to getting to play in front of Durham’s fine fans once again, with a sellout crowd up first.

“There’s such a good fanbase here,” she added.

“When Maiden Castle is packed there’s a nice atmosphere and energy, so it’s great having them here.”
